Teaching materials subject is for educators. One kind of material available in this section is long-form stories. These stories will align with stories available for students. They are not required reading, but here for your curious mind.
In addition, you will have the inquiry method frameworks built for subject eras. Again, the frameworks are not required. Rather, they are here to offer a blueprint from which to build your own unit.
You will also find a list of vocabulary used in stories and activities on Michiganology. This is not a vocabulary list for students. Instead, it is a list of terms specifically chosen by staff at the Michigan History Center and why we chosen them.
Lastly, this section will offer guidance for fostering hard discussions in your classroom. Teaching the complexity of history is a hard job. These articles will offer suggestions on unpacking this complexity.
